It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.&nbsp;&nbsp;How will you make an impact in this role?The Director, Issues &amp; Events Program Strategy will:<ul><li>Drive the implementation of strategic issues and events frameworks and programs across the enterprise </li><li>Partner with VP of Issues and VP of Events and their teams to provide support with critical initiatives</li><li>Provide SME input/requirements into the capabilities and technology that supports issues and events management</li><li>Provide SME input into the Learning, Development &amp; Communications plans to educate stakeholders on issues and events management</li><li>Develop and maintain a robust process for reporting to internal stakeholders, committees and regulatory bodies, as needed</li><li>Challenge and validate the first line’s issues and events data inputs including the root causes and adequacy of remediation efforts&nbsp;</li><li>Perform ad hoc analysis to support senior management informed decision making</li><li>Influence senior stakeholders to align on strategic programs and role expectations across the enterprise</li></ul>&nbsp;Qualification<ul><li>Experience&nbsp;in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) and understands critical operational risk management&nbsp;lifecycle activities</li><li>Experience in at least one of the following: Defining and maintaining the scope of issues and events within an enterprise framework; Managing and maintaining the technology and processes to record, manage and report issues; Providing guidance to business unit on how to identify, root cause and log operational risk issues; Prioritizing operational risks to ensure root cause analysis and remediation efforts focus on the most impactful issues; Educating stakeholders in the business on operational risk issues and event management and providing feedback on their reports and remediation plans </li><li>In depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks specific to systemically important banks (e.g., Basel III, stress testing and capital adequacy requirements)</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively</li><li>Excellent qualitative analytical skills</li><li>Excellent project management skills</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact and obtain buy-in from senior BU/tech counterparts</li><li>Proven experience in process governance, with a track record of establishing and overseeing robust decision-making processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks and operational standards</li></ul>Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
