The OHP Benefit Update Project team will need to design additional appeal processes and review the Prioritized List, the State Plan and administrative rules to meet federal requirements and provide clear policy regarding benefits. In addition, the OHP Benefit Update Project team will consider whether changes to the state’s benefit determination mechanism (the Health Evidence Review Commission (HERC) and Prioritized List of Services), policy, rules or processes related to utilization management might better meet OHA’s equity goals.
