Job Title: Quality Inspector Exempt or Non-exempt: Non-exempt

Department: Quality Job Grade: N/A

 Shift: 1st and 2nd

Overall Purpose and Main Objectives:

This position assures quality products by conducting in-process inspections and evaluating finished products to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities and Capabilities Include:

·Inspect a wide variety of incoming parts, materials, 1st article pieces; with attention to detail.

·Consistently focus and maintain a high level of attentiveness and consistency when inspecting parts; while handling high volume.

·Inspect parts and identify quality problems using visual inspections and basic metrology gages.

·Inspect jobs against a verify compliance to customer requirements with proper training and procedures.

·Follow a written quality plan for non-conforming parts.

·Use measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.) for dimension and accuracy.

·Produce and check quality-related paperwork.

·Communicate effectively with floor supervisors, production operators, shipping and receiving and management throughout the day.

·Apply what is taught to perform high quality and accurate inspection activities.

·Meet deadlines for shipments to support on-time deliveries.

·Comply with Cadence’s processes, procedures and systems used to stay in compliance and identify and resolve problems quickly.

·Take initiative to proactively look for the next assignment.

Qualifications:

Education

High School diploma or GED

Experience

·2 years of prior high volume manufacturing experience

·Knowledge of quality systems and compliance is required

·Excellent time management and organizational skills is required

·Flexible and willingness to move scheduling/priorities

·Work independently and self management skills

·Multi-tasking skills

·Good written and verbal communication skills

·English literate, understanding verbal instructions and reading/writing written instructions

·Blueprint experience (basic dimensions, tolerances)

·Computer literate; hardware, general file and directory, CAD/CAM, graphic programming

·Microsoft Office; Excel and Word

Physical Demands:

May be required to lift up to 25 lbs

Stationary work-stand and sit (majority of shift)
